YouTube is shutting down...
About 10 years ago, I had an idea for a business I called I Run It. Here's how it works: you want a pack of M&M's, but you don't want to leave your house. You go to your mobile app and say, "I want a pack of M&M's." An approved person in your neighborhood sees the order on his phone, accepts it, runs to Walgreen's, buys it and delivers it to you. You pay a small delivery fee. It's a peer-to-peer home delivery service for goods that can be bought in your local area - Uber for Home Deliveries. It might not make a trillion dollars, but the app would cost 20K to develop and it'd be profitable on day one.

  • Clayton Cohn Clayton Cohn Absolutely - doesn't mean it won't be profitable. Laziness of many breeds wealth for a few. Here's an example: Clayton Cohn

I don't know if this idea would "make" a trillion dollars, but it might cause a trillion dollars of commerce: The Wall Project - www.thewallproject.org. I want to put 50 foot high, 1,000 foot long, real time video walls, with audio, in 50 cities around the world. The location of the video would rotate from screen to screen every eight hours. Crowds of people in one city could interact with crowds of people in other cities in real time forming the world's first physical social network. The Wall Project would foster peace through unfettered communication.
